In a dominant performance at the SAG Awards, FX's "The Bear" swept the top comedy series categories, winning Best Ensemble, Best Actor for Jeremy Allen White, and Best Actress for Ayo Edebiri. While filming continues for season 3, White shared his hopes for his character, Carmy.

The cast and crew are currently back in Chicago filming season 3, and according to co-star Matty Matheson, things are swimmingly. "Production is rolling better than usual," he shared, and everyone is "focused and excited." With good weather, "big scripts," and "big scenes" on the docket, the wait for the new season will be well worth it.

Where are they filming The Bear in Chicago?

While we know the show is set to start shooting here next week, the exact locations or neighborhoods have not been shared. Jonah Zeiger, head of the Chicago Film Office, said locations are kept on the down-low, especially for high-profile shows like The Bear.

Season two featured locations around Chicago — even beyond River North, where the fictitious restaurant inspired by real-world Mr. Beef is located. Some actual Chicago spots featured in last season include the Michelin-starred Kasama, the West Loop staple Publican Quality Meats, and local sweet shop Margie’s Candies.

Looking to stargaze with the stars of "The Bear"? Look no further than Oooh Wee It Is, a soul food restaurant favored by Ayo Edebiri. After scoring a Golden Globe in January, Edebiri raved about the restaurant, calling it some of the best food she's ever had. The owner was even surprised to learn of her visit!

Filming for a season of television typically takes two to three months, so you might have a chance to catch the cast and crew of "The Bear" around town for a while.

Both seasons are currently available to stream via Hulu.

Which Stars Will Come Back?

The season 3 press release mentioned White, Ayo Edebiri, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Cast members including Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, and Matty Matheson are also expected to return. The Bear has also found ways to incorporate Bernthal’s character despite Mikey’s death, so the actor might make future appearances in flashbacks.
