A Warm Welcome at Dinosaur Bar-B-Que

Syracuse native Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, was spotted outside the legendary BBQ joint, donning an “I Heart NY” shirt and embracing the local vibe. Fans gathered around him as he graciously took selfies, signed autographs, and chatted with those lucky enough to be at the restaurant.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que shared their excitement on Facebook, posting, “Posty’s back in Syracuse, getting his pre-show BBQ fix. Being the most humble and polite local he’s always been, hangin’ with fans.”

Local resident Fred Mangine, who was at the scene, described Post Malone as “friendly and accommodating,” giving everyone the time for a quick picture before heading inside.

The F-1 Trillion Tour: A Blend of Hip-Hop and Country

Post Malone is in town for the third stop of his “F-1 Trillion Tour,” which features his newest and first-ever country album, F-1 Trillion. Released on August 16, the album has already garnered major buzz, earning the artist four nominations at the 2024 Country Music Awards. These nominations highlight his collaboration with country superstar Morgan Wallen on the track “I Had Some Help.”

The Syracuse show, taking place at the Empower FCU Amphitheater, marks Post Malone’s first performance in his hometown since 2015 when he played at Syracuse University. Fans are excited to hear the fusion of genres, as his tour showcases the new country album while still featuring his hip-hop classics like “Congratulations,” “White Iverson,” and “Sunflower.”

Fresh Off Big Wins at the VMAs

Post Malone is no stranger to accolades, and this tour follows a recent night of triumph at the MTV Video Music Awards. He took home the awards for Best Collaboration and the highly coveted Video of the Year for “Fortnight,” a joint project with pop superstar Taylor Swift.

With his VMAs wins and a new country album under his belt, Post Malone’s return to Syracuse is more than just a concert—it’s a celebration of his growth as an artist and his connection to his hometown roots.
